Introducing the Expedition 'Newshounds'

Each alpha group has its 'newshounds' and their job is a tough one this expedition as not only are the projects seeing them travel deeper into the jungle than before, they are also visiting new Kampong's and being part of opening ceremonies.

They eagerly volunteered during training to collect all the news and gossip from the project sites during the phase for the blog, their changeover edition of the Sabah Sun, and requests and shout outs for the weekly fieldbase broadcast of Radio Raleigh. So without any further ado, I shall introduce the superstar newshounds;

For Alpha One up in Kampong Ambong we have Veronica Waldthausen, all the way from the United States of America, and Vaughn Edwards joining us from Rockingham, Australia.

Alpha Two over in Batu Puteh, will be under the watchful eyes of another Rockingham native Kirsti Harrison, and Brit boy Tom Rhodes.

Deep in the heart of Imbak Canyon and reporting for Alpha Three we have the first of 2 all British newshound team of Stu Tinner and India Sparshatt.

The very privileged Alpha Four newshounds down in the place close to everyone's hearts, Danum Valley, is the crack team of Auzzie Amanda Macadam surrounded by Pommes Hannah Parker and Laurence (aka Alex or Lolly - crikey a man of many alias') Pidgeon.

The first of the adventure teams and trekking in Long Pa Sia first we have Rockingham's very own Tiri McCorriston and the lovely lass from the UK Joanne Loveridge, reporting for Alpha Five.

Last, and by no means least, we have the Alpha Six newshounds, and other all British team of brit girls Rebekah Lindo and Francesca Jackson.

Finally a big shout out to all of you who have volunteered to be my newshounds - YOU'RE ACE!
